Save the arcade-promo

There is a secret promotion going on right now between four arcades in the country. Stride Gum is running a contest called "Save the Arcade". At the end of the contest, the winning arcade receives $25,000 to stay afloat and bring new games in and just otherwise stay in business. The website is: http://savethearcades.stridegum.com/You will be asked to register and then you get to play a flash based game. Every point you score in that game will go toward one of four featured arcades. My local arcade is one of those four, but feel free to choose whichever one you want. Each one has a profile you can pull up to know more about them. Happy gaming!      (x)

I got about 34k on my first game. I almost want to play it a bunch of times and 'give' my score to each location. They all deserve it.

55k on my first try. The flash game is a bit boring There are better flash games out there.

If either Game Galaxy gets nominated this year (2010), especially the Rivergate one, I will definitely be participating this year.

I just visited the Rivergate one yesterday. Discovered they had one of my all time favorites there. :D
Not sure the same arcade can be nominated more than once, but perhaps since the Rivergate location technically is a new location, it may qualify... I didn't read that far into the fine print to know for sure.

I sure hope Stride runs a better contest. Round one their was so much cheating going on with the on line game Zapataur it wasn't a fair fight. We spent countless hours on the phone trying to get that problem solved with their advertising group and wasn't taken seriously.
